Mr. Kiyimba grew through the ranks of Centenary Rural Development
Bank, where he became highly seasoned in the ProCredit lending
methodology, which he later applied in many different settings.
As one of two key technical
advisors to Equity Bank in Kenya, his contribution has been of
importance to Equity’s critical take off period (2003-2005).
He has experience with all types of institutions, ranging from
community banks and other community based organizations, to Savings
and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs), finance companies
and banks. Mr. Kiyimba also had the opportunity to work on two
high impact microfinance sector support facilities (the Microfinance
Investment and Technical Assistance Facility (MITAF) and the
Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSDU).).
His technical background
in agriculture, has afforded him the opportunity to work with
MFIs to develop financial products adapted to the needs of farmers,
based on a in-depth understanding of technical and marketing
aspects of agricultural cycles.
