Ms Madeleine Klinkhamer has 18 years of experience in economics and is managing
Ayani's Resident Technical Advisor Unit. Her thematic responsibilities include:
change management, sector assessments, rural finance, inclusive financial sector
development in post-conflict settings and public-private partnership development.
She has worked with multilateral organizations such as the United Nations and
the World Bank, as well as NGOs, corporate clients and governments. Ms. Klinkhamer
has expertise on most aspects of inclusive financial sector development, including
institutional development and interim management of MFIs and SME lenders, due
diligence of financial institutions serving lower-market income segments and
large-scale program evaluations, sector studies and rural finance. Originally
from the Netherlands, Madeleine has lived in Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Lesotho, Kenya,
Somalia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and Georgia.
